Welcome! We’re glad you found us and are thrilled that you had the courage to seek the help you deserve. At Ease was born in 2016 with the vision of providing quality mental health care to moms and their families during the perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) period of life. Since then, we’ve had the privilege to work with many wonderful families in our community to provide a peaceful transition into parenthood, as well as expand our services to meet needs found along the way.
People often ask about the significance of our name and logo. Founder and owner, Jenna Mahoney, carefully chose both to be meaningful and significant. The name was first suggested by her Air Force husband, who reminded her that in military culture the term “at ease” is used to let airman know they can transition from standing at attention to relaxing their bodies. Similarly, in parenthood, don’t we often find ourselves constantly “at attention,” but with no one to remind us or help us relax? Or maybe those around us try their hardest, but don’t know how to help us truly find that place of being at ease. That’s where we come to help. Our goal will always be to help you find your path to being “At Ease” in this journey we call life.
So why the butterfly logo? Butterflies are a beautiful representation of growth, change, and healing and that’s what we believe counseling is all about. We want you to walk away from your counseling journey feeling like you’ve grown, changed for the better, and healed old wounds that held you back from being the best version of yourself!
